A number of new job opportunities could arise in the future, if certain steps are taken to further develop the UK''s wind renewable energy sector, it has been suggested.
Ultra Green''s founder and group executive chairman Tony Blakely believes that wind towers alone have the potential to create a variety of new roles.
He commented: ''We have a unique and high value product and there is a massive market in Europe, a huge manufacturing opportunity for Britain.''
Mr Blakely, who made his remarks at a recent Ultra Green roundtable event, added: ''With just one product - wind towers - we could create 100,000 jobs.''
However, the expert also warned of the dangers of bureaucracy in the UK.
Innovative ideas for new green developments are often thwarted by this, he suggested.
The MP John Gummer and Biffa Waste Services'' former director Peter Jones were also among those taking part in the recent event.
