PV solar panel scheme ''could financially benefit homeowners''

People may enjoy financial benefits if they choose to adopt PV solar panels as part of a new initiative backed by the government, it is believed.

Annually, householders taking part in the feed-in tariff scheme could receive as much as £960 by opting for this technology, npower has suggested.

The firm''s solar expert James Morgan noted that interest in solar power now appears to be on the rise among the country''s homeowners.

Commenting on the forthcoming feed-in tariff scheme, he stated: ''Owners of solar photovoltaic panels, which produce electricity, will be paid for all the energy they generate - regardless of whether they use it themselves.''

The expert added that the scheme represents ''great news'' for domestic property owners.

Meanwhile, it was recently announced that PV solar panels are also set to be a major feature of a new base which is being set up by the firm AUMA Actuators.
