A recreation site is expected to benefit from the installation of 26 solar panels.

Mawgan Recreation Hall has received the technology, thisisthewestcountry.co.uk has reported, with the panels predicted to have a 25 year lifespan.

Those visiting the hall will now be given the chance to see the energy output of the technology, thanks to the introduction of a monitor.

According to the news provider, a variety of organisations were behind the installation of the solar panels.

These are said to include Mawgan Parish Council and SITA.

While PV solar panels could help organisations to improve their green credentials, one expert has also suggested that energy efficiency might be an important area for businesses to focus on.

Michael Webb, client services manager at the Green Consultancy, feels that insulation may additionally prove to be a useful measure.

''They could replace old energy inefficient equipment with new energy efficient equipment - lighting, glazing, insulation, heating and ventilation,'' he commented.
