A variety of renewable energy products are set to be introduced to a new community site based in the Bracklesham area.
Solar thermal panels will be among the devices adopted by the hall, dubbed Brackle Barn, once work on it is completed in the near future.
Ground source heat pump technology is also to be utilised as part of the site''s design.
Chichester District Council''s health and community wellbeing director John Kingdon suggested that plans for the hall have been developed over a long period of time.
He commented: ''The Bracklesham Park Community Hall is being built by Construction Partnership Ltd, and is the realisation of many years of work and planning.''
When it comes to renewable energy, it was recently revealed that the Robin Rigg offshore wind site operated by E.ON is now able to generate energy.
It is the company''s third UK-based offshore wind farm to be completed.
