A company in the UK is set to introduce a number of photovoltaic solar panels to its new base, it has been announced.
In total, 179 of the panels are to be made use of at the new AUMA Actuators development.
The firm expects to see the site fully developed by the second quarter of this year, with the base covering 12,000 square metres.
It is hoped that the photovoltaic solar panels adopted by the site will improve how self-sufficient the company is when it comes to creating its own energy.
In the UK, AUMA Actuators is currently based in the Clevedon region of north Somerset.
The organisation acts as an Auma Riester GmbH & Co KG subsidiary.
Meanwhile, solar power is also set to be focused on by a number of University of Ulster students, as part of a green design competition backed by Invest NI and Biotecture Ireland.
