i am looking for insulation preferably bagged for underneath my first floor bedroom floors. The insulation will be fitted between joists which are 300mm wide

Is this for thermal insulation or acoustic? Are you required to achieve a certain thermal or acoustic rating in line with current building regulations?

The insulation is to go in between the joists for an improvement. There is no stipulation that this has to be done. It is our preference.
